Q. Do I need to schedule a trial before I book Jaime for my event?
It depends on your comfort level but the majority of my clients reserve their date first and schedule their trial at a later date, closer to the event date.
Q. Typically, when is a good time to schedule a trial for my Wedding?
Once you have submitted your contract and retainer and received a confirmation, your wedding date is reserved. I will generally email you anywhere from 4-6 weeks before your wedding to schedule your trial. I have select dates that are specifically blocked out for trials and there are multiple time slots and dates available. Due to the high volume of events in October and November, most trials will take place in August/September. As for Spring weddings, most trials will take place in January/February. I cannot guarantee a specific trial date nor am I bound to any date discussed. If you are unavailable on the dates offered to you, I will try my best to fit your trial in on an additional date. For out of town brides: If our schedules do not match up, we will schedule the trial for the week of your wedding when you come into town. Weekends are reserved for events. All trials are tentative, subject to change and trial dates are not included in the event contract.
Q. Do I need to bring anything to my trial appointment?
Yes. Please bring any accessories you will be wearing on your wedding day (veil, tiara, clips etc) and any specific make up you would like me to use.
Q. Can I bring someone with me to the trial?
Absolutely! You may bring mothers, sisters or bridesmaids to your trial. I want you to share this experience with the loved ones around you! My only suggestion is bringing too many girls is sometimes a little overwhelming. We want the appointment to be calm and exciting, not chaotic. So keep your numbers down if possible!
Q. Do you provide all the make up and hair supplies?
Yes, I supply all necessary pins, product and make up for the trial and wedding day. If you have a specific product you LOVE, then please bring it. It could be a favorite blush, mascara or foundation. Anything! I am very open to using different products and if it something that will make you feel more comfortable and beautiful for your event, I am on board! My only suggestion is that you pick out and purchase a lipstick or gloss on your own so you can have it for touch ups for the day of the wedding. Generally, Lashes will only be applied on the day of the event, not for the trial.
Q. What kind of make up do you use?
The brands that I use for my events vary, but you can expect to see MAC, Lorac, Urban Decay, Stila, NYX, Bobbi Brown, Laura Mercier and a long list of other AMAZING products!
Q. Do you do airbrush make up?
I currently do not offer airbrush make up but do an exceptional job creating a flawless face with traditional foundation!
Q. Does dirty hair style better?
NO. Please come with clean and completely dry hair to trial and the day of the wedding. Clean face - Clean hair! Straightening the hair prior to your style will make it resistant to curl and the curls will fall, so try to have it clean and simply blow dried with minimal product.
